These terms govern your use of NookPals and explain the basic rights and responsibilities attached to the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using NookPals, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and any store platform rules that apply to your download.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- copy, sell, rent, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app without permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law permits;
- use the app in a way that interferes with normal operation or violates applicable law.
4. Intellectual Property
The app, including its code, visual assets, puzzle designs, character artwork, branding, and associated materials, belongs to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
5. No Ads and No Third-Party Services
The current version of NookPals does not display advertising and does not integrate advertising networks, analytics, attribution, or tracking services. Your use of the app does not involve those services. If a future update adds any such feature, we will update our Privacy Policy and these terms accordingly.
6. App Experience and Availability
We may update, rebalance, improve, or remove features of NookPals over time, including puzzle content, Daily Challenge, profile options, settings, and presentation.
7. Local Data and Device Settings
The app stores gameplay progress and settings locally on your device so the game can function properly. Because there is no account-based cloud save, that data stays on the device and does not sync elsewhere. You are responsible for your own device settings and for keeping a backup of any data you care about.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
10. Store Platform Terms
If you download the app through Apple or another platform, platform-specific terms may also apply. Where required by law or platform policy, those platform terms govern distribution-related matters.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms become effective when posted on this page, and your continued use of the app after that time means you accept the updated terms.
